When will I receive my goods?
You will receive a confirmation email of your purchase within 24 hours of any purchase to confirm your payment and the delivery details provided.  Items are custom made to order with a standard lead time of 21 days from date of purchase. Please allow up to 3 working days thereafter to receive your item. Our courier contractors will make contact with you to confirm delivery once your item is completed and in our shipping system. It is your responsibility to be available to accept the goods at the specified time at the delivery address you have provided. Our carrier will provide a morning or afternoon time window to help achieve this.

What if I’m not home?
If you are not home to receive goods our courier will return your goods to the courier’s depot and another delivery can be arranged for the next day. Additional charges may be applied in this case. These charges will usually exceed standard delivery charges to account for the return cost, handling and storage.

Goods Damaged in Transit
All goods are rigorously inspected for quality and leave our studio in perfect condition. If for any reason the goods are damaged upon arrival at our nominated delivery address, we require written notification within 24 hours of you receiving the shipment including photos of the damage. We will then make a determination on how best to handle replacing your order in the most practicable way possible.

Should a replacement not be available, you will be entitled to a refund on the item. Damaged goods will be returned to Art Excuse at our expense. In any event of a return, we insist that goods be returned in the same condition as received by you with all original packaging or disposed of by you in the manner of our choosing.

Discounts Codes and Special Promotions:
We occasionally run special promotions from time to time which will require you to enter a discount code relevant to the promotion. Please read the terms of each promotion carefully before you order.

Refund Policy: Change of Mind
Please choose carefully.  We do not give refunds if you simply change your mind or make a wrong decision. In the event where goods are faulty or have been wrongly described, or different to the product advertised on the website we will replace the item. We encourage you to buy with confidence.

Customer Satisfaction Guarantee
We offer an immediate replacement if you are not satisfied with your purchase owing to any misrepresentation of quality and/or appearance to what has been advertised.

Please evidence your claim within 24 hours of receipt of your goods.

A refund will only be issued after you have arranged and paid to have the goods returned to us. Note, that we must receive the returned goods in resalable condition – ie. the same condition in which it left our warehouse.

Our images, as represented on the website are of the highest resolution to ensure likeness to the original and the colors depicted are true to the original also. Please be aware that computer monitors vary in their representation of color. As each work is printed to order, minor variations will occur.

Where a refund is required, funds will be issued by Art Excuse via cheque. Refunds will be processed within seven (7) days of receipt of goods.

This refund policy does not exclude or limit any rights, which are available under the Competition and Consumer Act 2010 (Commonwealth) or equivalent State or Territory laws.

Consumer Guarantees
Under the Competition and Consumer Act 2010, as well as a number of other consumer laws specific to each State and Territory, you may have the right to have goods replaced, repaired or to receive a refund where:

  • The goods are faulty;
  • The goods are wrongly described;
  • The goods are different from a sample shown to you; and/or
  • The goods do not appear as they are supposed to do.

 These consumer guarantees apply to all consumer contracts and cannot be excluded, restricted or modified. This is in addition to any voluntary warranties offered by the original supplier and/or artist.

Any expense incurred for returning the original product to Art Excuse will be at our cost if it is deemed the goods have breached a consumer guarantee. Upon examination of the goods returned, if they are found to not be in breach of the consumer guarantees, you may be charged a fee for the return cost, examination of the goods, and any costs incurred to return the goods back to you.

Please note that goods must be returned within 7 days and you may be asked to demonstrate that the problem with the goods was not due to misuse or poor handling. Consumer Guarantees do not apply where the goods became unacceptable due to fair wear and tear, misuse, failure to use or mount the goods in accordance with our instructions, or failure to take due and reasonable care.
